Maria Josefina Sanchez, MD

Dr. Maria Josefina Sanchez is an Argentine-Italian fully bilingual pediatrician with dual certification from University of Buenos Aires and University of Texas Southwestern.

She graduated from Universidad Favaloro Medical School and completed her first pediatric residency at Juan A. Fernandez Hospital, one of the most important hospitals of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Thereafter, she moved to United States to complete her second pediatric residency at the renowned Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
Prior to residency training, Dr. Sanchez did clinical rotations at University of Michigan, Mott Children’s Hospital and University of Miami, Holtz Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Sanchez has a special interest in cardiovascular and cardio-metabolic prevention and has published numerous research papers in high impact journals.
She has been the recipient of teaching and excellence in scholarship for clinical research awards.

She defines herself as a hardworking, passionate, determined and ambitious person, who loves to combine intellectual diversity. For this reason, during the first two years of pediatric training in Argentina, she pursued a master’s degree in International Affairs in Law School.
Dr. Sanchez speaks Spanish, English and Italian.

She has played many sports throughout her life, but her special passion is alpine skiing and has become a ski instructor for kids.
