Dr. Silva earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and her Medical Degree (MD) from Ross University in Dominica, West Indies. Following, she did her residency in Pediatrics at St Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Ponce, Puerto Rico, where she served as the Chief Resident in 2007. During her residency she concentrated her research on allergy and asthma related problems. Dr. Silva is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Dr. Mariel Silva is a Board Certified Pediatrician and fellow of the Academy of Pediatrics. She joined Pediatric Clinic of Mesquite in 2010.
